The Executive Mayor of Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality, Cllr Khumalo Molefe has convened the District Disaster Command Council comprising of multi-stakeholders such as amongst others, Political Management of the District and Local Municipalities within the District; OOP; Public Works; COGSTHA; SASS: Social Development; etc. to engage and put in place measures to mitigate the impact of floods in ensuring that communities are resettled in a more conducive and habitable alternative places until the situation is normalized in Deelpan Village.
Molefe, further calls upon faith based organizations, NGO’s and Local Business to forge partnership with the Municipality in assisting the distressed communities in whichever way they can.
